We get in fresh baits which are immediately frozen to insure freshness. That bait is then freeze-dried in our own machines. After the bait has been completely freeze-dried, it is then either packaged and used as whole Freeze-Dried Bait, or it is ground and added to our paste, oil, bait & ice cubes, catfish chunks, or salmon egg clones. We also have the powder available for just about any type of fishing that you would ever want to do. It is great to additive to produce your own custom scent.

Freeze Dried Baits

Freeze-drying transforms bait in many ways. Most obviously, it is dry, but this method of drying actually intensifies the scent and toughens the natural structure. Tests have shown that freeze-drying increases its potency 500 to 1000 times. Freeze-drying is the only way to preserve without the use of chemicals or additives. When you run out of bait when the fishing is good, keep a package of freeze-dried bait on hand so that you do not get caught short again!

How to use freeze-dried baits

Submerge bait in water until soft or soak it in Kodiak Oil for a blast of scent! Denser baits may need to be punctured with a hook to allow water to penetrate the bait. When the bait is pliable it is ready to use as if it is fresh or frozen bait! Use Kastaway's plastic injector to add the extra zing of Kodiak Paste or Oil.

The Release

Now at last, a diver that actually resets itself. No more reeling in yards and yards of line every time the diver is accidentally tripped. Simply lift the rod tip, and then quickly lower it to create slack in the line. This then causes the line to slacken and the diver's magnetic release resets itself. It can be adjusted for light or heavy strikes. All you do is slide the metal plate forward or back to change the sensitivity of the release.

Advantages:

There are more advantages to this than the obvious, when you stop to think about it. How about when fish are stacked from shallow to deep and you would love to fish at variable depths? Just trip the diver at, say 40 feet.  It will automatically start to surface, thereby hitting the fish at 30, 25, even 10 feet. Then reset, and go back through those fish as it dives.
